7♦️/5♠️

Today on the 7♦️ in Virgo, we find the Planetary Ruling Card by counting to the Mercury card in the Waking Spread which is 5♠️. This reading is about the 7♦️ Birth Card of 1/20, 2/18, 3/16, 4/14, 5/12, 6/10, 7/8, 8/6, 9/4, and 10/2.

The 7♦️ balances values and desires. Values are a part of conscience.  Desires are a part of Dream State interpretation of Sleeping State. So Values can be found in the Sleeping Mirror and the Awakened card for most people, but the 7♦️ only has the 9♥️ twin for all its identity. Thus, one learns values and desires through the experience of feelings and relationships coming to an end.

These two cards are the essential mirrors of the deck. The 7♦️ balances daily Waking desires with deep Sleeping 9♥️ values.  One seeks pleasure and personal gratification, though one realizes that all personal pleasure comes to an end.

The 7♦️ is the card of gluttony as well as the card of abstinence. It is the card of zealotry as well as the card of non-attachment. It has been called the millionaire’s card, and it also a card of poverty.

Desires eventually meet values. And all values are essentially the same at the most basic level. When there is thirst, it is water that is valued. When there is hunger, it is food that is valued. When there is cold, it is warmth that is valued. When one is alone, it is company that is valued. When one has been awake for too long, it is sleep that is valued.

Discernment helps one maintain healthy relationships over a long period of time. It will always be useful to take a break now and then, however.
