Today on the Nine of Clubs in Aquarius, we find the Planetary Ruling Card by counting to the Uranus card in the Waking Spread which is the Four of Clubs. This reading is primarily about the 9♣️ which is the Birth Card of the following dates: 1/31, 2/29, 3/27, 4/25, 5/23, 6/21, 7/19, 8/17, 9/15, 10/13, 11/11, and 12/9.
The 9♣️ resolves mental exploration that requires deep penetration into personal motivations leading to successful communication. When Unconscious, one prefers pleasure over truth and tends to escape from unpleasant interactions with associates to indulge the senses. When Awakened, one longs for growth in one’s values, and one makes needed changes to relationships even with additional personal expense to enable harmonious interactions with associates.
In early life, one becomes aware that thoughts and feelings change constantly, and one should not hold onto the status quo of one’s relationships and belongings as though they will always remain the same as at present. One is able to form intense emotional bonds with others, and such intensity often comes with intense power struggles. One has a powerful emotional bearing that one should be encouraged to use deliberately; there is an ethical risk in using persuasion to get one’s needs met at the expense of others; better and more wonderful opportunities become available when one cultivates the use of integrity in all dealing with others. In mid-life, one prospers through discussion with others and exploration of the environment that reveal value one had not previously noticed; one knows how to extract the best from situations as they arise. As one matures, one learns, sometimes painfully, that temper should be controlled so that good relationships may continue and any relationships that end are remembered without regrets about one’s own actions. As one ages during the years 35-41, 65-77, and all one’s life for those born January 31st; one discovers that one absolutely must work with intensity to accomplish more than others, but working with purpose requires the establishment of personal peace before the work begins; so, one should take time to rest and one’s work will be most effective. In old age and as the result of contemplation, one is able to partner with others to develop resources together.
The 4❤️ Dreaming Mirror indicates that the 9♣️ benefits from family relationships to the extent that one demonstrates non-attachment to pleasure and also to pain. What?? Who is attached to pain? Well, many of us have a negative attachment to pain in so far as pain is avoided at times when it should be embraced. For the 9♣️, there will be times that one will be criticized for bad speech or bad behavior; when one has behaved poorly, one needs to own the behavior, and make amends. Negative attachment to pain will prevent taking inventory of oneself and making an amend as needed. Similarly, positive attachment to pleasure can be difficult for relationships when one insists on getting a specific need fulfilled such as a daily hug even when one’s partner does not willingly give it. Not every relationship is meant to continue of course, but let’s say this example relationship is one of significant quality for many reasons; yet one’s partner has a significant deficit in the physical affection department. If one demands the hug, one will actually distance oneself from one’s partner.
The 5❤️ Waking Mirror indicates that the 9♣️ needs to make changes regularly in one’s relationships and one’s feelings. One’s responses to preexisting relationships will change dynamically as one evolves. One needs to feel that one is making forward progress in one’s life. One may need to leave a relationship or make significant changes within a relationship in order to feel happy. One is not going to stay in a relationship that isn’t working. One will either make changes with a lot of fire, or one will leave the relationship.
As the Double Neptune card in the Sleeping Spread, the 9♣️ has a great imagination that can remove any rough edges in one’s development. One will do best as a spiritual seeker who contemplates existing situations and concerns within a philosophical framework. One has the ability to refine and finish all activities and goals.
One has goals in life that the cycle of pleasure and pain will diminish, so one cultivates healthy relationships to re-establish and strengthen one’s integrity.
